A Little Bit About Me
Assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaah 🙂

Friends call me FJ, mum calls me Fudge - you can call me Farhaz. I'm 36 and live in South London. I'd describe myself as easy-going, ambitious and loyal. For those familiar with the MBTI, I'm an ENFJ.

Fun facts include: being related to the founder of Pakistan, singing for the queen's sister, and Saif Ali Khan turning up to my surprise 21st.

My background is English Language Teaching (having worked for a few schools, colleges and universities in Croydon and London). I also had a brief stint in tech, working on an exciting project with Apple as a Consultant Linguist, and currently work as a coordinator with the NHS and mental health charity Mind in Croydon. Alhamdulillah I've received some government funding for a social enterprise which I recently launched, and am looking forward to seeing how far I can take this going forward inshallah.

I like languages, sports, comedy shows, eating out, poetry, music, theatre, and stepping on crunchy leaves.

I also like to travel - whether lounging on the beach in Zanzibar, skiing in the Swiss Alps or taking in the history of Istanbul. I briefly lived in Dubai and Egypt, and my bucket list includes Malaysia, South Africa and the Caribbean.

I take my deen quite seriously - I pray my 5 a day, watch Islamic lectures regularly and have been for Hajj alhamdulillah.

What I Am Looking For
I'm looking to settle down with a practising, down to earth, emotionally intelligent woman with a good sense of humour and similar values. Someone with whom I can pray, raise kids, and still laugh until it hurts when we're old and wrinkly. Bonus points if you'd like me to teach you Arabic!
